2024 Season Highlights: Redshirt senior Adewale Obayanju closed out his collegiate career with a strong and steady performance in the Warriors’ secondary. Appearing in 10 games, he totaled 25 tackles, including a season-best 8 stops at California (Pa.) on Nov. 23. He added 2 interceptions, including an 11-yard return at Millersville (Oct. 5), and broke up 3 passes to help anchor the pass defense.
Bouncing back from a shortened 2023 campaign, Obayanju reasserted himself as a leader in the secondary. He finished with 65 total tackles, 3 career interceptions, and 10 passes defended over 32 games, bringing poise, experience, and shutdown coverage to every snap.
Senior (2023): Appeared in two games before suffering season-ending injury … recorded six tackles in … season-high four tackles against Pace (8/31) .. tallied a pass breakup against IUP (9/9).
Junior (2022): Started in all 11 games ... recorded 21 tackles with two for a loss ... made four tackles against Millersville, West Chester and Shepherd ... recorded first career interception in season finale at California (Pa.) and returned it for 10 yards ...Â
Sophomore (2021): Appeared in 9 games and made five starts… recorded 12 total tackles and a pass break up… registered a career-high three tackles against Lock Haven and West Chester. Â
