MANSFIELD - Seniors William Berry (high jump) and Derrick Washington (400m) and junior Steven Morgan (110m hurdles) all defended their PSAC outdoor titles in their events to lead East Stroudsburg University on the final day of the 2016 PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Mansfield.

Berry and Morgan joined graduate student Travis Toth, who won the hammer throw on Friday, with four career PSAC championships for the Warriors. Berry and Morgan both won their third straight PSAC outdoor titles in their events, while Washington repeated in the 400m.

ESU's men finished third in a field of 14 schools with 109 points, posting a top-four finish for the 16th straight PSAC championship (indoor and outdoor) since 2009. The Warriors were also third during the indoor season and were third outdoors last year, when ESU hosted the championship at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors' women finished seventh of 16 schools, improving on their ninth-place showing indoors, led by junior Allison Decker, who won the 10,000m on Thursday night and was fourth in the 5000m on Saturday.

Women's Results

ESU had six individual scorers on Saturday and a pair of top-three relays, finishing second in the 4x800m relay and third in the 4x400m relay.

Decker was fourth in the 5000m (17:36.63) after winning the 10,000m (37:47.43) on Thursday night, becoming the first ESU women's athlete to finish in the top four of both events since Vanessa Andes in 2004 (1st in 10K, 3rd in 5K, 3rd in 3K) and 2005 (1st in 10K, 2nd in 5K). She doubled in 5K and 10K for the second straight year, finishing sixth in the 5K and fifth in the 10K last spring.

Senior Chelsea Conover was sixth in the 5000m (17:40.01), eighth-fastest in school history, for her second career individual scoring performance after an eighth-place finish in the mile during the indoor season.

ESU had two finalists in the 400m hurdles as well, where sophomore Jaid Harsch was fifth in 1:03.91 and junior Kelley Anne Stuetz placed eighth in 1:05.83 to score for the second straight year. Harsch picked up her first individual scoring effort and lowered her 400H PR by more than two seconds this weekend after qualifying fourth for the finals in 1:04.01 on Friday. She also ran a PR in the 100H prelims (14.71), placing ninth to just miss the finals.

Sophomore Taylor Watkins was eighth in the javelin with an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying effort (132-7), the fifth-best mark in school history and improving her PR from 127-10 as a freshman. She had a season best of 126-10 entering the weekend. Freshman Hannah Marth was 11th (124-9 - ESU #9 mark).

Junior Brandie Tartza finished tied for sixth in the pole vault (11-1) after ranking t-12th (11-1 3/4) on the entry list entering the weekend. She previously finished fourth in the pentathlon indoors as a freshman in 2014.

The 4x800m relay of sophomores Hope Decker and Samantha Young, junior Lauren Toth and sophomore Kaylyn West ran an impressive 9:26.78 to finish runner-up to California in the event, with West anchoring in 2:17.4.

The Warriors' time was just off their school record 9:24.40 which they ran at the Penn Relays two weeks ago. ESU won the PSAC indoor title this winter with a school and PSAC championship meet record.

The 4x400m relay secured third place with a time of 3:57.30, ESU's best finish in the 4x4 since placing third in 2008, from the quartet of sophomore Danielle Swingle, freshman Leiana Dean, Harsch and freshman Victoria Matthews.

In previous finals this weekend, West placed fourth in the 3000m steeplechase (11:14.84), Matthews (3rd - 5-5 1/4) and fellow freshman Carly Gregas (5th - 5-3 1/4) scored in the high jump and freshman Michayla Weitman was eighth in the heptathlon (3,790) on Friday, along with Decker's win in the 10K on Thursday night.

Men's Results

ESU entered the weekend with five returning PSAC champions, and four repeated in Toth (hammer), Washington (400m), Morgan (110m hurdles) and Berry (high jump). Senior Eric Conard, the defending PSAC champion in the decathlon, placed third this weekend. Toth won the 2014 PSAC title in the hammer and redshirted in 2015.

Toth, Morgan and Berry are three of ESU's 11 men's athletes (all-time) to win at least four individual PSAC championships, with Morgan still owning another season of eligibility.

Berry won his third straight PSAC outdoor high jump title and fourth PSAC title overall, including his 2016 indoor crown, with a winning mark of 6-9 1/2. He cleared his opening height (6-8 1/4) and his winning height on his first attempts before going out on three attempts at 6-10 3/4.

Berry was third on the entry list with an NCAA provisional of 6-9 3/4, ranking t-20th in DII. He won his previous PSAC outdoor titles at 6-10 1/4 (2014) and 6-9 3/4 (2015), and had a winning mark of 6-9 3/4 indoors this winter.

Berry finished in the top three in the conference in all eight of his PSAC Championships appearances.

Morgan won his third straight 110H title to open his career with a time of 14.43 after running the top time in the prelims (14.54) on Friday. He has a PSAC-leading season best of 14.35 this season which ranks 20th on the NCAA DII provisional qualifying list. He won the 2015 60H title during the indoor season, giving him four career PSAC titles, and has twice been the 60H runner-up.

Washington posted an NCAA DII provisional time of 47.83 seconds to win the 400m title for the second straight year with a strong final 150 meters. He was also the top finisher in the prelims (48.09) after entering with the PSAC's No. 3 time (48.52) this season. He finishes his ESU career as a 12-time PSAC scorer, six times individually and six times on relays.

Toth won his fourth PSAC title overall and second in the hammer with a mark of 202-5 on Friday, improving his PR and No. 9 mark in DII (202-2) which should qualify him for the NCAA DII Championships when the field is announced next week.

Along with the four overall title winners, six other Warriors had PSAC scoring performances on Saturday.

Junior La Treil Ridgeway opened the day with a runner-up finish in the triple jump, hitting a mark of 47-3 1/2 (t-8th in school history) and a PR of just over a foot. He was third on the PSAC entry list with a PR of 46-3 1/4 and improved on his fifth-place finish during the indoor season.

ESU picked up two scorers in the javelin where Conard was fifth (181-10) and sophomore Tyler Hope was sixth (180-1). Conard was third in the decathlon on Thursday and Friday, which included his previous PR of 173-9 in the javelin, which he improved by eight feet on Saturday. He finishes his career as a seven-time PSAC scorer, six times in the multis, including the 2015 decathlon title.

Sophomore Christian Castro scored in both the 110m hurdles (6th - 15.02) and 400m hurdles (8th - 1:00.41). Senior Adam Robertino was seventh in the 400m hurdles (56.59), his sixth career PSAC scoring effort.

Freshman Akeim Thomas was fifth in the 200m (22.41) after qualifying for the final with the seventh-fastest time (21.96) in a fast prelim on Friday.

The Warriors were third in both the 4x100m relay and 4x800m relay.

In the 4x1, sophomore Ernest Pendleton, freshman Akeim Thomas, Morgan and freshman Patrick Monahan ran 41.53 (6th-fastest in school history).

The 4x8 relay of freshman Jared Glosser, sophomores Zack Krieger and Sean Halligan and freshman Khai Samuels ran 7:49.82.

ESU was sixth in the 4x400m relay with sophomore Juwaan Walker, junior Robert Garvey, Washington and Samuels running 3:19.63.

On Friday, junior Alec Lederer was runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase (9:29.13), sophomore Zach Dillon (3rd - 22-7 1/4) and junior Sean Hagerty (4th - 22-6 1/4) gave ESU 11 points in the long jump, Conard wrapped up his third-place in the decathlon and Samuels was fifth in the 800m (1:53.53).
