BETHLEHEM & PHILADELPHIA – The East Stroudsburg University men's 4x400m relay team earned a second place finish to lead the Warriors at the 126th Penn Relays on Friday. ESU also competed at Lehigh's Carol & John Covert Classic.
Penn Relay Highlights
ESU saved the best for last at Franklin Field in the 4x400m as Sean Roberts, Ryan Ditty, Zandrew Bowe and Tyler Boone earned a runner-up finish with a season-best time of 3:19.19.
With 29 teams competing in the 4x100m, the Warriors relay squad of Roberts, Boone, Raul Esteves and Austin Nice finished 14th after clocking a time of 42.74. In the 4x400m,
In the discus, Cole Gorham finished in 18th after notching a mark of 47.93m (157-3) on his second attempt. Gorham also secured a 26th place finish in the shot put after recording a throw of 14.17m (46-6).
Graduate student Eric Garner paced ESU in the javelin taking 19th with a mark of 57.13m (187-5), followed by Zach Nissley in 25th with a throw of 49.08m (161-0).
