5/8/2022 9:00:00 PM

EAST STROUDSBURG -- After posting a 17-1 record and claiming its second PSAC Championship in program history, the NCAA announced on Sunday evening that the East Stroudsburg University lacrosse team has earned one of four top-seeds in the region and will host the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship for the second consecutive year.

Joining ESU at the Atlantic Regional include two-seed West Chester, three-seed Seton Hill and fourth-seed Mercyhurst.

The Warriors will open the NCAA Tournament against Mercyhurst, who ESU beat 13-2 in the PSAC Semifinals. The winner of that matchup will play the winner of two-seed West Chester and three-seed Seton Hill in the NCAA Atlantic Region Championship.

ESU looks to advance to the NCAA Semifinals for the second consecutive season. The semifinals and national championship are hosted this year by defending national champion Lindenwood in Saint Charles, Mo.

ESU claimed the 2021 NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship, defeating West Chester by a score of 13-9.

Game times and ticketing information will be announced shortly.
