MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – After falling behind 2-0 late in the first half, the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team recorded an early goal in the second half, but could not score the equalizing goal, falling to Millersville at Pucillo Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors fall to 6-3-5, 2-3-5 in PSAC East action with the loss. The Marauders (9-2-3, 6-1-2 PSAC East) are now tied with West Chester for second place in the win.
Notables
- Colby Raymond recorded the lone goal for ESU in the 48th minute of action to cut the deficit to 2-1. Ignasi Cucurella Tuset recorded an assist on the play. Cucurella Tuset posted a goal and two assists on the week, totaling a goal and an assist against Lock Haven.
- Millersville's Bob Hennessey and Josh Rodriguez both tallied goals in the 17th and 42nd minute, respectively. Zander Leik and Richy Valverde tallied assists.
- Both teams registered 13 shots and seven shots on goal. Millersville held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. Both squads tallied 14 fouls. ESU was assessed five yellow cards.
- ESU GK Brayden Evans (4-1-3) made five saves in his first loss of the campaign.
