INDIANAPOLIS – Holding a 31-13 record entering the week, the NCAA announced on Wednesday afternoon that the Warriors were selected as the top team in the latest NCAA Division II Atlantic Region rankings.
The Warriors have played well down the stretch of the PSAC East conference slate, posting at least a split in all 14 doubleheaders to date this season. ESU currently ranks second in the PSAC East conference standings, three games behind West Chester while holding a single game lead of third-place Kutztown entering the final two doubleheaders of the season.
Among the 18 teams in the PSAC, ESU boasts the fourth best batting average (.317) and third-best ERA (2.53). ESU's
Paige Zigmund has been a force this season, posting an already program record 18 wins in 21 decisions.
Along with Zigmunds' record for wins in a season,
