KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NACB) announced on Thursday afternoon that East Stroudsburg University's Carlos Pepin, David Duda Jr., Jack Farrell, Marc Rodriguez and Zach Sabol were selected to the NABC Honors Court for their excellence in the classroom.

To qualify for the NABC Honors Court, men's basketball student-athletes must post at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.

"Education is a core value of the NABC, and we are privileged to recognize these outstanding student-athletes and the coaches and support staff who invest in their development," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson in a release. "The hundreds of teams and thousands of players that qualified for NABC academic awards this season are a testament to our sport's ongoing prioritization of success in the classroom."

Pepin, a management and leadership graduate student, got the job done on the court and in the classroom, leading ESU by averaging 17.4 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as an NABC All-Region and All-PSAC East First Team selection. The Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Pete Nevins Player of the Year has taken his talents overseas to the Dominican Republic. In 23 games with Indios SFM, the Lodi, N.J. native has posted 70 points, and 48 rebounds, while registering nine steals and 11 assists in his first professional season.

Duda Jr., a sports management major, closed his time as a Warrior with a 3.65 GPA, including a 3.92 GPA this past semester. The sharpshooter continues to earn honors for his discipline in the classroom after being named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Scholar-Athlete Team for the second consecutive season in 2022-23. Additionally, he was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team this past season. The Methacton product set a new Warrior program record with an efficient 49.1 percent mark from 3-point range this past season. He recently accepted a position as a graduate assistant coach with the Penn State men's basketball team.

Farrell, an exercise science major, registered a 3.21 GPA through 2022-23 season. He appeared in nine games for the Warriors in 2022-23, registering a field-goal made against Clarion and grabbing three rebounds against Molloy to highlight his junior season.

Rodriguez, an exercise science graduate student, earned his master's degree with a 3.432 GPA, serving as a graduate assistant with ESU's sports performance staff. This past semester, Rodriguez tallied a 4.0. Despite being plagued with an injury this past season, Rodriguez closed his Warrior career ranked fifth all-time in 3-pointers made with 175, while ranking seventh in 3-point percentage with 40.4 percent mark from long distance.

Sabol, a history major, has posted a 3.43 cumulative GPA to date for the Red and Black. The Emmaus graduate appeared in all 30 games for ESU, where he posted a season-high eight points against Molloy and snagged eight rebounds against Clarion this past season as a junior. This past semester, Sabol tallied a 3.67 GPA, which ranked third-best on the team.

Along with getting the job done in the classroom, the Warriors posted a 23-9 record on the hardwood, advancing to its eighth NCAA Tournament in program history in 2022-23.
