ERIE – The East Stroudsburg University men's wrestling team began a weekend of back-to-back road duals by dropping a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Gannon, 41-4, on Friday night inside the Recreation and Wellness Center.
With both teams receiving votes in this week's edition of NWCA Top 25, the Warriors slipped to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the PSAC while the Golden Knights won their fifth straight match to improve to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the conference.
ESU received a win from freshman
Layton Schmick as the No. 12 ranked wrestler at 285 in this week's NWCA national rankings earned a 12-4 major decision over Gannon's Matt Long.
