ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- The Kutztown University and East Stroudsburg University baseball programs are set to play a doubleheader at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown on Thursday, May 2. The first game of the doubleheader will start at 10:35 a.m., followed by the second game at 1:05 p.m. Kutztown will be the home team.
Coca-Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, boasts a fixed seating capacity of 8,809. Since its opening in 2008, the ballpark consistently ranks among the top in attendance in minor league baseball. Notable alumni who have called Coca-Cola Park home include baseball stars like Chase Utley, Aaron Nola, Rhys Hoskins, and many others.

John Kochmansky. "Not everyday do you get the chance to play on a professional field and we are looking forward to it."
"We're excited for the opportunity to play in a great venue against a great opponent," said Kutztown head coach Eric Folmar. "It's going to be a great experience for our kids."
The Warriors enter the 2024 season ranked third in the PSAC East preseason poll following a 36-14 (16-8 PSAC) 2023 season, which included a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Golden Bears are coming off a 26-19 (12-12 PSAC) season, which was a 15-game improvement from 2022. KU enters 2024 ranked fifth in the PSAC East preseason poll.
East Stroudsburg won the season series last season, taking two of three from the Golden Bears. KU won the first game 4-2 at North Campus Field on April 27th, before East Stroudsburg swept a doubleheader the next day at Creekview Park.
The Golden Bears kick off the new campaign with a doubleheader against Mount Olive down in North Carolina on Feb. 17. ESU will also start 2024 in North Carolina against Felician on Feb 9.
