ESU Men’s Track and Field Wins Three Events, Posts Multiple PSAC Qualifiers at Gulden Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team competed at the Gulden Invitational on Saturday, winning three events and earning seven PSAC automatic qualifying marks. The Warriors also set a new meet record.
 
Cole Gorham (shot put), Jack Gorham (triple jump) and Anthony Voto (hammer throw) claimed first-place finishes to lead the Warriors. Cole Gorham was also named the field athlete of the meet.
 
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Miguel Charlery (60-meter, 200-meter), Bryce Keenoy (5000-meter), Ethan Holcomb (5000-meter), Landon Boyle (5000-meter), Bryson Gilchrist (200-meter), and Mark Jackson (200-meter) all earned PSAC automatic qualifying marks.
 
Running Highlights
Charlery ran his season opener in the 60-meter dash qualifying heats with a time of 6.96. He finished 8th in the final with a time of 7.01. Junior Ben Terry set a new personal best in the event.
 
In the 60-meter hurdles, Ragiariki Lewis finished 6th in the final with a time of 8.49, while Gabriel Yacovone surpassed his previous best in the prelims.
 
Tyler Boone placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.91, moving to 3rd in the conference. Jackson (22.19), Charlery (22.21), and Gilchrist (22.40) all met PSAC qualifying standards.
 
ESU posted two personal bests in the mile, with Joe Walker and Lucas Thaler achieving new career bests.
 
The Warriors had four top-10 finishes in the 5000-meter run. Keenoy led the group with a 4th-place finish (15:11.19), followed by Holcomb in 8th (15:18.72, personal best), and Boyle in 9th (15:21.18). Sophomore Jack Becker also set a personal best in the event.
 
Field Highlights
Cole Gorham continued his strong season with a first-place finish, new personal best, and meet record in the shot put with a throw of 59-11.25, breaking his own school record and moving him to 3rd in Division II.
 
Voto won the weight throw with a mark of 61-11.
 
In the high jump, Kamoni Smith-Johnson (6-04.75) placed 4th, followed by Albert Morton (6-04.75) in 5th. Jaden Johnson (6-02.75) and Peter Stanislavsky (6-02.75) tied for 6th.
 
Morton improved his personal best in the long jump, previously set at the West Point Open.
 
ESU took four of the top five spots in the triple jump, with Jack Gorham winning (47-03.00), Daniel Smith finishing second (46-09.00, personal best), and Jaden Johnson taking third (46-06.25). Kevin Polonia rounded out the top five (45-02.50).
 
Taylor LaBarre vaulted into second place and set a new freshman record in the pole vault with a mark of 15-09, moving into 2nd on the ESU all-time top-10 list.
