MONTCLAIR, N.J. — The East Stroudsburg swimming team was narrowly defeated by Montclair State and Kutztown, falling 141-120 to the hosts and 132.5-128.5 to the Golden Bears.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Warriors started out strong, winning the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Chelsea Chiu, Tamara Engler, Mikayla Potts, and Vera Renshof took first place with a time of 1:52.36.
• Anique Hazebroek won the second event of the day, the 1,000-yard freestyle, finishing in 10:48.68.
• East Stroudsburg had the top two finishers in the 100-yard breaststroke in Engler and Kennedy Leveto, coming in first and second place with times of 36.02 and 37.05, respectively.
• In the Warriors' final event win of the meet, Anna Stauffer, Potts, Hazebroek, and Renshof took first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay, registering a time of 3:41.17.

• The Warriors look to bounce back in a meet against Millersville next weekend, taking on the Marauders at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 in Koehler Fieldhouse.
