EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The ESU women's wrestling team remains at the top of the NCAA Region 2 women's wrestling rankings, which were announced Thursday afternoon. The Warriors have seven wrestlers ranked inside the top three in their respective weight classes as well.
ESU held the top spot with 79 points in the rankings, holding its lead over Lehigh and Gannon who hold second and third place. Additionally, ESU was ranked 15
th nationally with 14 points from the individual rankings. The Warriors are led in the rankings by
Tiffani Baublitz, coming in at fourth in the 160-pound weight class.
Teegan Sibble held her seventh-place spot in the 110-pound weight class, while
Savannah Tittelback remained inside the top 10 in the 124-pound weight class.
Baublitz was ranked first in Region 2 in her weight class, and Sibble and Tittelback earned second-place rankings in their classes.
Ragan Retell kept her top regional ranking at 138 pounds while the trio of
Olivia Klein,
Yianna Foufas, and Madison Westerberg came in at third in the 103-, 117-, and 180-pound weight classes, respectively. Rounding out the regional rankings for ESU was
Selina Moore with a fourth-place ranking at 145 pounds.
The Warriors return to competition after the winter break with the Ursinus Duals next on the schedule. ESU competes at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11 in Collegeville, Pa.
