EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The ESU men's wrestling team picked up a 24-20 over Millersville in dramatic fashion Wednesday night, defeating the Marauders for the first time since the 2019-20 season. The Warriors improved to 6-0 on the season in duals with the victory.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• The dual started with the 157-pound match, as Gavin Reynolds took on Richie DeFulvio. Reynolds got out to an early lead, and despite a late push from DeFulvio, Reynolds held on to win by decision, 8-7.
• After Millersville jumped ahead 6-3 with two decision wins, Luke Ciampa cruised to a win over Cole DuBois. Ciampa won his match by major decision, 15-4.
• Right after Millersville bounced back with a win by fall, ESU responded with two pins of its own. Ajay Hiller got his win over Avery Kuhns in 1:35, and when the order went back to the 125-pound match, Josh Jasionowicz followed up his teammate with a pin against Gavin Boland at 3:45 for 12 quick ESU points.
• The Marauders were able to trim the Warriors' lead with a technical fall, and a 3-1 decision win in the 141-pound match put Millersville ahead 20-19 going into the final match of the slate. Austin Noe took on Daniel Sinclair, and Noe had control from the start of the match. Noe was able to win by technical fall at 3:55 in front of a raucous Koehler Fieldhouse crowd and give ESU the 24-20 win.
