Austin Noe was announced as the PSAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon following his two-win week in duals against Millersville and Bridgeport.
Noe picked up two wins in three outings for ESU, picking up a win by fall in the Warriors' blowout against Bridgeport, and winning the dual against Millersville in the final match of the slate. On Wednesday, Noe and East Stroudsburg went into the final match trailing, 20-19. Noe defeated Millersville's Daniel Sinclair via technical fall, 19-3, 3:55, securing the walk-off win for East Stroudsburg, 24-20. It was the first time ESU defeated Millersville since 2020, snapping a four-dual losing streak, and the Warriors first home win against the Marauders since 2017. Wrapping up the week, Noe pinned Bridgeport's Daniel Mahoney in 2:18 in ESU's 47-3 win.
The Warriors will compete in two tournaments before their next dual, starting with the Midwest Classic this weekend in Indianapolis, Ind., and coming back after winter break to wrestle in the Virginia Duals on Saturday, Jan. 10.
