SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — The East Stroudsburg University men's wrestling team lost to Shippensburg, 26-16, Thursday evening at Heiges Field House.

Notables

Sean Campbell (pictured above) earned the first points for the Warriors with a decision. Entering the final period of regulation, Campbell led 9-4. Although the Shippensburg wrestler attempted to close the gap, Campbell controlled the advantage and secured the victory, 11-8.

Austin Noe trailed 7-1 after the first period, following an escape. In the second period, Noe turned the tide, scoring off an escape then a takedown and back points to tie the match at seven. He dominated in the third period, adding eight points to win by major decision and finish with a 15-0 run.

Anthony Lawrence earned a thrilling 14-13 decision, bringing the Warriors within two points at the time of his victory.

Up Next

The Warriors will remain on the road for their next match, heading to Greensburg to compete in a tri-meet against Seton Hill and Tiffin.
