EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior third baseman Jack Rothenhausler and redshirt senior outfielder Dennis Pierce were named to the first team, and senior relief pitcher Caden Parker to the second team, on the D2CCA All-Atlantic Region Baseball teams released Tuesday.

The trio has helped lead East Stroudsburg University (38-14) to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region championship series, which will be held this week beginning Thursday at Creekview Park. The Warriors host Seton Hill in a best-of-three series with games scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday (game 3 if necessary) each day at 1 p.m. The winner advances to the DII Championship, May 30-June 7, in Cary, N.C.

Last week, Pierce and Parker were named to the NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association) All-Region first team, with Rothenhausler on the second team. D2CCA All-Region teams are voted on by college sports communicators in their respective regions.

Rothenhausler (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) is hitting .321 with a .448 on-base percentage and .617 slugging percentage while fielding .949 at third base entering the regional championship. He has 18 doubles, 10 home runs, 63 RBI (tied for the school record) and 35 runs, and has reached base 94 times (52 hits, 24 walks, 18 HBP). He was 5-for-11 with a walk and two HBP, reaching eight times, in ESU's 3-0 weekend in the subregional. 

Rothenhausler holds nearly every ESU career offensive record, including setting the school record for hits (230) last weekend. He also owns marks for home runs (25), doubles (65), extra-base hits (93), total bases (376), RBI (190), HBP (47), times reached base (358) and games played (208), and ranks fifth in runs (155). 

Pierce (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown), a D2CCA All-America second team selection at the utility position last year at Valdosta State, transferred to ESU and set the Warriors' season record for home runs (17) in a standout campaign. He is hitting .367/.477/.766 with 28 extra-base hits (10 doubles, 1 triple, 17 HR), 58 RBI, 49 runs, 58 hits, 28 walks and eight HBP. His current numbers in slugging percentage, extra-base hits and total bases (21) are all in the top five on ESU's single-season lists, and was 5-for-13 with two homers last weekend.

Parker (Delmar, Del./Delmar) has a 0.84 ERA and nine saves across 21.1 innings (19 games), posting 19 strikeouts, 13 walks and 13 hits allowed, holding opposing batters to a .178 average and .219 slugging percentage. He repeats as an All-Region selection after notching a school-record 12 saves in 2024. In two seasons at ESU, he has a 1.59 ERA in 45.1 innings (40 games) with 21 saves, 41 strikeouts, 21 walks and 39 hits allowed. 

ESU advanced to the regional final with wins over Fairmont State (11-2), West Chester (6-1) and Fairmont State (6-2) in last weekend's subregional hosted by No. 2 seed West Chester. The final two games were played at the University of Delaware due to field conditions. The Warriors are the region's No. 3 seed and host No. 5 Seton Hill this weekend, after the Griffins knocked out top-seeded Millersville. 

ESU is in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth straight year and the seventh time overall under head coach John Kochmansky. The Warriors were region runner-up in 2022 and are pursuing their first regional title.
