INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Division II Softball Committee announced that East Stroudsburg University has been selected among the 64 teams competing in the 2025 NCAA Division II Softball Championship, scheduled for May 8-28, with the world series hosted in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Warriors will host Bowie State, Shippensburg and West Chester at Creekview Park for the Atlantic Region 1 bracket, beginning Thurssday, May 8, at 11 a.m. ESU will face Bowie State in the opener, followed by Shippensburg against West Chester at 1:30 p.m.

East Stroudsburg concluded its conference schedule Saturday afternoon by winning the PSAC Championship against Shepherd, capturing its first conference title since 1980. The Warriors enter the NCAA Regional with an overall record of 46-10-1. Nationally, ESU ranks 12th in hits, and 34th in batting average. The pitching staff leads the nation in strikeouts per seven innings and ranks second in WHIP.

Bowie State earned its third CIAA Championship after defeating Claflin on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs hold an overall record of 27-18 and enter the regional as the eighth seed, marking their sixth NCAA Regional appearance and third consecutive selection.
