East Stroudsburg, Pa — East Stroudsburg University's powerhouse wrestler,
Tiffani Baublitz, struck gold for
Team USA in the
women's freestyle 72 kg weight class at the 2025 Senior Pan-American Championships in Monterrey, Mexico, solidifying her status as one of the premier wrestlers in the Western Hemisphere.
After receiving a bye in Round 1, Baublitz dominated her second-round match, pinning Mexico's Michelle Olea in just one minute after gaining a 4-0 edge. In the gold medal bout, she held her own in a fierce battle against Canada's Nyla Burgess, ultimately securing a dramatic 6-6 decision victory on criteria.
Wrestling under the Team USA banner, Baublitz's efforts added to the country's strong showing in the women's freestyle division and helped propel the American squad into an early tournament lead.
A native of Warriors Mark, PA, and a redshirt senior at ESU, Baublitz is already a two-time NCWWC All-American and Fargo junior national champion. Her success on the international mat adds a crowning achievement to an already storied career and boosts the profile of ESU's trailblazing women's wrestling program.
