LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — For the second time this season, Steven Arias has been named East Athlete of the Week as announced by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced on Monday. This is the third week in a row a Warrior has earned the honor.

Arias made a massive impact in both games this week for ESU. In the 3-3 contest against Lock Haven, the Warriors were down 2-1 before the junior scored the game-tying goal. The score turned out to be pivotal as it allowed for ESU to take a 3-2 lead that was cut in the final seconds of the game. Arias scored the lone goal for the Warriors in the conference matchup against Millersville, doing so in the fifth minute of the game and giving ESU the 1-0 victory.

Arias' goal against the Marauders made him the first of the ESU men's soccer team to score five goals this season. He also now leads the team in points, being the first to cross the double-digit mark. 

The Warriors face off against West Chester for their next test, heading to West Chester, Pa. to continue conference play at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
