EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University baseball team was selected 19th in the D2 Baseball Preseason Top 25, the organization announced.
ESU is coming off a 43-13 season, finishing as the PSAC Tournament runner-up and wrapping up the regular season as PSAC East champions for the first time in program history. The Warriors hosted the Atlantic Regional, winning their first two contests before falling to Seton Hill in the regional final.
The Warriors return five of their six All-PSAC East honorees from last season, with former All-America pitcher Brent Francisco the only departure. All-PSAC East First Team selections Jack Rothenhausler (3B), sophomore Shanley Wall (OF) and Caden Parker (RP) all return, while second-team selections Ryan Dewees (P) and Cam Hubbard (DH) are also back in the Red and Black.
ESU announced its challenging 2025 schedule earlier this month. The Warriors are slated to play 11 games against three foes featured in the poll, including PSAC East rivals No. 12 West Chester and No. 22 Millersville. ESU will host No. 6 Southern New Hampshire for a three-game series from March 15-16. Additionally, the season opens on Feb. 15-16 against Molloy—one of the teams receiving votes in the poll—at the USA Baseball Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
