SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Jack Gorham headlined a strong day for the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team by winning the long jump on Friday at the PSAC Outdoor Championships, held at Slippery Rock's William C. Lennox Track.
Track Highlights
Several Warriors advanced to event finals with strong preliminary performances:
In the 110-meter hurdles,
Ragiariki Lewis (14.68) and
Colin Manley (15.07) both qualified.
Mark Jackson qualified in the 400 meters, finishing second in 48.57.
Miguel Charlery advanced in the 100 meters with a time of 10.48.
In the 400-meter hurdles,
Liam Beifus moved on with a 54.24.
Tyler Boone qualified for the 200 meters with a time of 21.34.
Field Highlights
In the long jump,
Jack Gorham took first place with a mark of 7.40 meters (24-3½), followed closely by
Bryson Gilchrist in second at 7.35 meters (24-1½).
Peter Stanislavsky added a fourth-place finish with a jump of 7.15 meters (23-5½).
In the discus,
Cole Gorham earned second place with a throw of 52.19 meters (171-2), while
Anthony Voto placed fifth at 48.36 meters (158-8).
Taylor LaBarre cleared 4.96 meters (16-3¼) in the pole vault to finish second overall.
