Meet Recap: Men's Track and Field | 3/22/2025
Shippensburg, Pa. - The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team launched their 2025 outdoor season at Shippensburg University's Keystone Challenge with 13 Conference qualifying marks and an NCAA provisional mark.
PSAC Automatic Qualifiers
Mark Jackson (400m),
Liam Beifus (400m hurdles),
Peter Stanislavsky (High Jump),
Daniel Smith (High Jump),
Drew Domurat &
Daniel Smith (High Jump, Triple Jump),
Jack Gorham (Long Jump),
Bryson Gilchrist (Long Jump),
Nasir Heard (Long Jump, Triple Jump),
Cole Gorham (Discus),
Taylor LaBarre (Pole Vault) and
Chris Fredericks (Javelin) all notched PSAC automatic qualifying marks or times.
Running Highlights
In the 100m,
Zandray Thompson (11.29) and
Justin Gockley (11.48) both started their season with solid times.
The freshman,
Mark Jackson, picked up a PSAC automatic qualifying time with his first-place time of 49.18.
Miguel Charlery (50.05) took fourth,
Tyler Boone (50.36) took fifth,
Jaden Collins (50.36) took sixth and
Zephyr Crestwell (51.02) took eighth.
Nick Gdowik paced the Warriors in the 800m with his 2:05.14.
Brian McGarrity (2:05.97) and
Lucas Thaler (2:06.52) both ran solid times to open their seasons.
In the 1500m,
Bryce Keenoy returns from a great indoor campaign with a season opening 4:09.43 to take sixth overall.
Landon Boyle (4:11.04),
Ethan Holcomb (4:11.22) and McGarrity (4:11.73) came in 10th, 11th and 12th respectively.
Two freshmen began their first outdoor season as a Warrior with their participation in the 5000m,
Andrew Tatesure (16:04.60) and
Jack Becker (16:20.29).
Liam Beifus (15.57) claims seventh place in the 110m hurdles while his teammate
Ragiariki Lewis finished right behind him (15.58). The freshman
Colin Manley began his outdoor career with a 15.79.
Beifus was back in action for the 400m hurdles where he took third place and notched a PSAC automatic qualifying time of 56.24.
Field Highlights
A trio of high jumpers made their debut with PSAC Automatic Qualifying jumps.
Peter Stanislavsky had the best mark for the Warriors with 1.98m (6 feet 6 inches) and finished second.
Daniel Smith tied for third with 1.95m (6 feet 4.75 inches) and
Drew Domurat took fifth with the same height by way of attempts.
Three long jumpers swept the podium and notched PSAC Automatic Qualifying Jumps:
Jack Gorham 7.35m (24 feet 1.5 inches) took first,
Bryson Gilchrist 7.22m (23 feet 8.25 inches) took second and
Nasir Heard 6.88m (22 feet 7 inches) took third.
Heard would double up on qualifying marks by way of 14.28m (46 feet 10.25 inches) and a first overall placement in the triple jump. Smith took third with 13.99m (45 feet 10.75 inches).
Cole Gorham has not missed a beat since his stellar showing at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championship. C.Gorham picked up a win in the discus with his PSAC qualifying and NCAA provisional mark of 53.86m (176 feet 8 inches).
The freshman,
Jalen Gaymon, narrowly missed qualifying in discus by throwing 43.45m (142 feet 7 inches).
In the javelin throw,
Chris Fredericks made his debut for the Warriors by taking second place and throwing a Conference automatic qualifying distance of 58.68m (192 feet 6 inches).
Taylor LaBarre won the pole vault with a conference automatic qualifying height of 4.80m (15 feet 9 inches).
