SLIPPERY ROCK - Five Warriors won individual championships to lead the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field program to its first-ever PSAC championship on Saturday at Slippery Rock.

The Warriors, who have finished in the top four at both the PSAC indoor and outdoor championships every year since 2009 and have been outdoor runner-up five times in that stretch, achieved their program milestone with a historic performance this weekend in western Pennsylvania. All told, ESU had finished second 19 times in conference history - 13 outdoors (1933-35, 1951, 1956, 1976, 1978-79, 2009-11, 2014 and 2021) and six indoors (2010, 2013-14, 2019-20 and 2025).

All five of ESU's titles were won in the field events - three in the throws by senior Cole Gorham (shot put), junior Anthony Voto (hammer) and freshman Luke Stevenosky (javelin), and two in the jumps by senior Jack Gorham (long jump) and freshman Peter Stanislavsky (high jump).

Voto was named Men's Co-Outstanding Athlete (Co-Meet MVP) with Mansfield sprinter/jumper Cahsid Raymond, who both earned 22 team points.

ESU scored 165.5 points to prevail over perennial conference power Shippensburg (148) and annual contender Slippery Rock (126.16). Lock Haven was fourth (99) and West Chester fifth (64).

The Warriors turned in eight NCAA provisional marks from Stanislavsky in the high jump (2.11m; 6-11), freshman Taylor LaBarre in the pole vault (4.96m; 16-3 1/4), Cole Gorham (18.63m; 61-1 1/2) a new school and Voto (17.23m; 56-6 1/2) in the shot put, Cole Gorham (52.19m; 171-3) in the discus, Voto (61.21m; 200-10) in the hammer and Stevenosky (68.12m; 223-6) and senior Chris Fredericks (63.20m; 207-4) in the javelin.

Cole Gorham finishes his PSAC career with four conference titles, winning the discus last year and the shot put indoors the last two seasons. He is one of three ESU throwers with 4+ PSAC titles, along with Paul Wagner (8) and Travis Toth (4). He is just the third Warrior to win the outdoor shot put since 1979 (Wagner 2010, Dominic Walton 2021).

Jack Gorham earned his second PSAC championship of the year as the triple jump champ indoors.

Voto also won his second PSAC title this year by improving his distance at third on the program top 10 list, also claiming the weight throw during the indoor season. He joins Wagner (2008-10) and Toth (2014, 2016) as ESU champions in the hammer.

Stevenosky adds his name to ESU's javelin lineage in his freshman season as the Warriors' sixth PSAC champion - Ed Long (1971), national champ Mike Revenis (1981-82), Lance Branyan (1991-92), Josh Hontz (2011) and Matt Tholis (2013). Long, Hontz and Tholis were all national runner-ups. Stevenosky now holds the third best throw in school history, and the best for a freshman.

Stanislavsky is the Warriors' ninth outdoor high jump champ since 2001, including three-time champ William Berry (2014-16). Teammate Aaron Sanchez won the title last year.

Jack Gorham is the 10th Warrior to earn PSAC long jump titles and the first since Darnell Randall (2018) and Justin Miller (2019).

ESU had dominating performances up and down the roster as 21 Warriors earned individual scoring performances with top-eight finishes.

Throws

Cole Gorham and Voto were 1-2 in the shot put with Cole Gorham setting a new school record and Voto improving his distance while maintaing the third spot on the top 10 list; Gorham was second and Voto placed fifth in the discus, and Voto won the hammer. Stevenowsky and Fredericks went 1-4 in the javelin to give the Warriors 55 points from just those four athletes.

ESU had three scorers in the high jump, long jump and triple jump, and two in the pole vault, for 63.5 points.
