Two-time All-America. He made the National Soccer Coaches' Association All-America team twice. He received honorable mention recognition in 1952 and then was chosen on the first team in 1953. He was a standout fullback. He led the 1952 squad to an unbeaten record while the 1953 team lost only one game.
