National Wrestling champion. He won the NAIA 123-pound title in 1966. He finished sixth in the NCAA Wrestling Championships to gain All-America honors. He was a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion. He was named the school's outstanding wrestling four straight years. He was co-winner of the Senior Athlete of the Year Award in 1966.
