Warriors' first conference track and field champion. He won the 880-yard run at the conference meet in 1950 and then captured the conference 880 and mile runs in 1951. He was undefeated in the 880 for three years and lost only once race in his entire collegiate career. He also was a member of the Warriors' mile relay team which earned third place in the Penn Relays in 1952.
